SECTION 1: Predict the winning team and result of each game in all eight groups.
If you predict a Draw, write 'Draw' in the 'Team' column, and the score as usual.
Points: Correct Team OR Score = 2 points, Correct Team & Score = 5 points
SECTION 2: Predict the order the teams in each group will finish at the end of the group stages.
Points: Each Correct = 10 points, All 4 Correct = 50 points
SECTION 3: (Knockout Stages)
This is where things start to get a lot trickier. However, even if you didn't guess correctly the order in which all the teams would finish the group stages, you are still in with a chance of winning, because we do not tie you to those teams you predicted would make it through to the knock-out stages,
In the Quarter Finals, the teams will only be known how they finished the group stages.
Eg: A2 v C2. You will just enter A2 or C2 and the score. If you think a game will be won on penalties, just right PEN in the 'Score' column.
Round Of 16 Points: Correct Team OR Score = 5 points, Correct Team & Score = 10 points
Round Of 16 Points: Correct Team OR Score = 5 points, Correct Team & Score = 10 points
Quarter Final Points: Correct Team OR Score = 10 points, Correct Team & Score = 20 points
Things get even harder now, as your original predictions may be totally out of the window by now. However, you are still in it, because as before, its just the names of QF matches that count.
Eg: Winner Q/F 1 v Winner Q/F 3. You enter your predictions exactly the same way. in this case you would just put 1 or 2 then your result.
Semi-Final Points: Correct Team OR Score = 20 points, Correct Team & Score = 30 points
Now we reach the Final. Unless you've been really successful in your predictions, you will probably find that the two teams in the final are completely different to what you had thought, but once again it doesn't matter. The match will be Winner S/F 1 v Winner S/F 2, so you just write 1 or 2 and the score.
Final Points: Correct Team OR Score = 30 points, Correct Team & Score = 40 points
SECTION 4: EXTRA TIME. The art of prediction now comes down to 10 questions about the tournament.
Points: Each Correct Answer = 10 points (possible 100 points)
TIE BREAKER: In the event of a tie for a prize position (1st or 2nd), the winner will be decided on who predicts the nearest answer to the following question....
How many goals will be scored throughout the whole of the 2016 tournament ? (not including penalty shootouts). If still tied with the same answer then whoever scored the most points in Section One will be deemed the winner, followed by each section thereafter if need be.
For record purposes, the winner of the tie breaker will receive half a point.
